On May 7 I (farmlady) married David (DavidShipley). We met on Christian Singles' dating, though he didn't even have a computer. A friend from church, put him on the site, printed out the letters he received and then typed back a response. This procedure was inefficient, so after only a couple of letters we began talking on the phone - hours and hours on the phone. That sufficed for a short while, then we wanted to meet. The three weeks wait between buying the ticket and my arrival seemed like 3 years - we were so anxious to meet. I was warned that sometimes a face to face meeting would be different/disappointing. No problem there!! We liked each other in 'real-time' even more than over the phone, and were soon engaged.

We are enjoying just sharing day to day (formerly) humdrum tasks. Even better is the dreaming and planning of our shared future. That is revitalizing our whole outlook. We were both widowed, and the future had looked monotonous at best, dreary at worst. Now the it looks bright and adventure filled. We even have the advantage of being able to use David's home in South Lake Tahoe during the hot, humid TX summers. Then we'll 'snowbird' in my east TX home to escape the frosty winters of South Lake Tahoe. That also means that for half of the year I will be 1500 miles closer to my daughter! God is good.

An interesting sidelight is that On Nov 13, 2004 my daughter (chiiron) married 9bob9. On March 12, 2005 my grandson (pfcmaurx) married Bonita84. Now I, have met and married too! All of us met on Christian Singles Dating. 3 generations marrying from one site - e-harmony can't top that! (^_^)

I think the attached picture shows the great joy that we have found. You are never too old to find love - God can use CSD for you too - keep praying and telling others about CSD. I am so glad that my daughter kept nagging me until I joined.

P.S. I also found a long lost friend through my CSD membership. What an unexpected bonus that was! We are going to visit her in WV later this month.
