Dear Sweet Sister in Christ,
As we both probably know there is a fight going on for your son's soul and he is in a weakened condition from the alcohol, etc.. Today I just claimed my son for the Lord & Kingdom of Heaven. He was dedicated to the Lord as was your son (mine is 26yrs.) and caught up in the gay life style. Remember the word says, "Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it." Not one of the seeds that have been planted in your son's soul can be snatched away from him. Alcohol can cloud it and his weakened physical state leaves him wide open to the enemy's onslaughts. I don't know what to say about demon possession and where it begins. I know that the word says some of them go out only by prayer and fasting. I do know Jesus sent a legion of them out of a man and they begged to be sent into the pigs which they were and then ran off a cliff I think. This area of spirituality is not something I take lightly in speaking about because of the seriousness of its nature. I would seek out fellow believers concerning this and at the same time you don't be afraid because I know they can't stand to hear the name Jesus or the words the blood of Jesus. The word says that in a multitude of counselors there is wisdom. If you have the discerning of spirits and really feel this is the problem, you need to find believers who deal in these matters and speak with them. I know there are persons within many churches who specifically deal in these matters. I'm sorry I can't be of more help to you but I will take up your son as well as mine as a prayer warrior until I sense some sort of breakthrough spiritually. Emerse yourself in the word, play Christian music around your house, speak scripture out loud as though attempting to memorize it. Watch your son's responses to each of these and make a mental or written note of it. You may need to remember when you talk to your elders or whomever you find to help you. Dear sister, please feel free and I also would like to know how your son is doing as you are lead. May I ask you to please pray for my son also. His name is Joshua. He has had problems with alcohol in the past and he smokes pot and has done other drugs also. He was raped from age 7yrs.-8yrs. every week and often more than once. He was shown pornography and told he was a girl, he was sodomized and forced to perform oral sex on a man we went to church with. He says he is unsure of his sexuality, but that he likes men (black men the most). However, he also says if he fell in love with a girl and got married he would have children but would still be more attracted to men. He has experienced an absent father almost all his life and the person who did this to him was like a father figure to him. Let me hear from you as you may be lead and be sure to believe I will be praying for your son. Take comfort in knowing Jesus has already won the battle against Satan. He knows his time is short so he attacks Christians to make their testimony lousy and to destroy them entirely if he can. Have a blessed Sunday and know my prayers are with you.
With deepest hope, Suzy

Dear friends and fellow Christians,
My oldest son was dedicated to the Lord from conception. He was babtized at 12 yrs. and walked in the Lords ways for a while. He then started experimenting with alcohol and drugs... his walk with God has been sporatic, although very real to him when he is there. Just lately he (now in his 20s) is drinking excessively. He curses God or says he is an agnostic, wishing to die. He is just falling to pieces. Where does the effects of alcoholism and or mental illnes end and demon possesion begin? He had a crisis this past week. I am fasting and praying today that the demons be bound and he may experience freedom in Christ, and be willing to accept human help to get his life back together. I love him sooo much... as has happened before to many parents... we wonder why. The words to In the Garden keep going through my head, and the words of Jesus on the cross 'it is finished'. Jesus is the King... and to him I turn over my son . Please remember him in your prayers and any comments would be welcome.
Thank you.
