There are alternatives to IE7 ...
So that others are aware, Opera also works well with this site.

Firefox for browser and Thunderbird for mail. You’ll find much more there too.
AND! They run on non-Windows systems too … Linux

The past 2 months have been full of problems for me logging onto this awesome site. In the interest of helping my fellow members who have had problem after problem with the new Internet Explorer 7.0, I would like to leave this link where you can easily download a different version. The new download has pretty much taken care of my problems,hopefully it will take care of any problems you may having also. Here is the link:

You should uninstall the previous version of IE 7.0 before downloading and running this version. It is not necessary to uninstall the prior IE 6.0, as it is the supporting platform for the new 7.0 version. You should also do a disk cleanup using your Windows XP accessories or another registered version of a system mechanic, to free-up space prior to downloading the latest version; and defragment before the download, to optimize your computer's performance later. [Editor's Note: I have been using IE 7.0.5730.11 on two computers as well as Firefox and haven't had any problems with either of them. I do know that some folks are having problems because when they install the new versions they mess with the configuration and turn off scripting. This site uses scripting (as do most sites now-a-days). We use scripting to serve up the drop down menus for easy navigation throughout the site. It is used for DHTML and javascript, etc.
However, even if you have scripting turned off, we display an alternate version of the website with a different menu style.
If you go to Tools / Internet Options/ Security Tab / select the Internet Globe / Custom level / scroll all the way to the bottom then backup slowly to the 'Scripting' and make sure you have ACTIVE SCRIPTING enabled. You might have other things disabled as well, so if that doesn't solve your problem, try some of the other settings.
Also, make sure you allow cookies, at least on this website. We use them to know who you are when traveling from page to page so you don't have to log in on each page.
Some people had problems when using an application called NoScript. Make sure you allow scripting on this website within that application as well. The NoScript tool was used on a member's Linux, and another member's FireFox.
Incidentally, I love the new Internet Explorer 7.
